Help family cope with tragic unexpected loss
Donation protected
My name is Kasey and I am raising funds for my brother-in-law, Dave, and his three children, son Gavin and twins Sage and Skyla as they grieve the loss of his wife and their mother.
Nicole Shaffer unexpectedly passed away at the age of 40. She had the kindest heart, most caring soul and she will be greatly missed by her family and those who cared for her. Her family was the center of her entire world and loved them with every ounce of her being.
Nikki had suffered for several years with severe chronic pain. She would spend much of her time, independently researching endless resources for answers for her constant pain and to find any kind of possible remedies. She wanted to LIVE her life! At every turn, doctors refused to actively listen to her struggles and suffering . Even with evidence from her research in hand, they ignored her pleas for further testing to find the cause of her constant agony. Due to the Opioid Epidemic we are currently facing, she was refused any kind of medication she needed just to tolerate her pain. She not only advocated for herself, she also tried to be the voice for millions just like her. Time and time again her cries for help were neglected. She started losing hope. Losing hope that one day, she would be able to live a life without excruciating pain. Losing hope that she would find even just one health professional to take her seriously, fight alongside her and not stop until they found her relief so she could live the life she so desperately wanted and deserved.
Her body, mind and soul were exhausted and broken beyond repair. On January 26, 2023, Nikki made the decision to end the years of suffering and took her life. She is no longer tormented with the pain her body had afflicted upon her for so long.
We would like to reach out to our community at this time on behalf of the family as they try to navigate this extremely difficult time. Any donation to help ease the financial burden as Dave takes time away from work to be with his children to mourn the loss of the Sun of their Universe, will be greatly appreciated.
All money raised will be given to Dave and his family to help him take the necessary time to grieve, be there for his children to lean on, and navigate through the challenges of these sudden changes to their lives.
Thank you so much in advance & please pray for this family xoxo
