CT First Responder Personal Protection Equipment
Donation protected
CT First Responders are our first line of defense against the expanding spread of the Covid-19 Virus. Help us protect them with plastic face shields provided at cost from an East Hartford manufacturer, Ardent Displays.
There are approximately 33,700 first responders in the State of Connecticut, including 1,200 Connecticut State Police, 7,500 municipal police, and an estimated 25,000 paid and volunteer fire fighters. In order to provide each first responder with a face shield at a cost of $1.19 each, we need to raise $40,103.
The doctor-vetted face shields are made of PET optical grade plastic and are designed to be washed and reused. Ardent Displays has already donated over 15,000 face shields to various hospitals, healthcare facilities and first responders. You can read more about that here: https://www.ardentdisplays.com/blog/2020/04/01/covid-19-face-shield-donations/
Your GoFundMe donation will allow Ardent Displays to scale up in an effort to protect every first responder in Connecticut. The face shields will be shipped to the Donation Center run by the Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security which will distribute them to Connecticut municipalities through their established regional centers.
