CTALPS's Return Back to Ghana!
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Dr. Dorothy Williams, and I am the founder of the Center4 TransAtlantic Leadership and Progressive Studies (CTALPS). This is a non-profit educational organization comprised of educators from various parts of the United States who freely volunteer their skills, experiences, and expertise to conduct professional development workshops in Ghana, West Africa with teachers, administrators, and students.
We are desperately in need of your financial donation and help to support teachers who are willing to volunteer their expertise and knowledge to conduct professional development workshops with teachers, administrators, and students utilizing a variety of researched strategies to help engage and motivate educators to continue educating students beyond the surface and help them to become life-long learners who develop a thirst for learning!
The purpose of the funds obtained will be utilized to help with transportation, hotel, food, flights, and tourism for 15 professional educators June 4 through June 24, 2025 (three weeks).
In Ghana, there is a huge challenge with limited or lack of resources for students and teachers in the rural areas. Despite the problem of large class sizes averaging 60 to a 105 students per classroom, the students of Greater Accra Region are excited about learning. Many of us were shocked and heart-broken to see the deplorable conditions many students have to learn.
The goal of CTALPS is to train and provide teachers and educators with a creative strategic platform that enhances the educational growth for rural children in Ghana and Africa who usually encounter educational barriers such as large classroom sizes, collapsing classrooms and leaking roofs, shortages of desks and shortages of teachers.
