CTSN & Exmo booth for Utah Pride 2025

Utah is the home of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon Church.
While the church officially states that it supports LGBTQIA+ members, the policies and doctrines of the church limit the participation in ordinances and service opportunities if these members embrace their identity and live fully authentic lives.
The Mormon church teachings are SOGICE (Sexual Orientation Gender Identity Change Efforts) wrapped in religion.
Many queer Utahns grow up thinking that they are broken, wrong, and unworthy of God's love.
We are a group of former members of the Mormon church (Exmo).
We are working to heal ourselves and those members of the community who have been harmed by the teachings and policies of this institution.
Help us repair the damage that is done to so many queer Utahns by donating to our fundraiser to participate in the 2025 Utah Pride Festival, June 7-8th.
Our funding goal will allow us to participate in the parade and to have an education and outreach booth at the festival.
We are partnering with Conversion Therapy Survivor Network.
CTSN is created by conversion therapy survivors.
- Their mission is to unite survivors of conversion therapy, or sexual and/or gender identity change and suppression efforts, and build a support network that addresses the lasting impact of these practices.
- CTSN provides a safe space for survivors to find solace, knowing they are not alone in their experiences. Their belief is that healing comes from shared understanding and connection—by offering a platform to share stories and connect with others who have endured similar trauma, we help survivors take steps toward recovery.
- The Conversion Therapy Survivor Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, non-therapeutic, organization formed by survivors of conversion therapy, united to support others in their journey of healing.

We will also have the pleasure of partnering up with:
- Ryan, the Exmo Rainbow Jesus will be marching with us! (you may have seen him at last year's event)
- An Exmo and a Nevermo Walk into a Bar Podcast will be recording an episode at our booth!
- Chris David Proud a conversion therapy survivor and author of Worthy: The Memoir of an Ex-Mormon Lesbian will join us to sign copies of her book, proceeds will be donated to CTSN
Funds that are not utilized as part of the Utah Pride Festival will be donated to CTSN for other local pride events and to support conversion therapy survivors.
