Culatra's Fish Market
Culatra Island is home to high quality, sustainably caught fish and seafood. However, the island's residents and visitors do not have access to these delicious, high quality products.
How to bring the fish and seafood to residents and visitors?
How to share traditional flavors of the Island?
And how to do this and contribute to the goal of making Culatra Island a zero carbon Island by 2030?
Culatra's Fish Market comes in the context of sustainable fishing and mobility - an electric motorcycle - charged on the Island and using energy produced by photovoltaic solar panels, distributes freshly caught and/or cooked fish and seafood with local recipes, to residents and visitors.
A unique tasting opportunity, and a chance to take part in an unparallel experience, a contribution to sustainability and local development.
The Culatra fish market is much more than a project to bring fish and seafood to those who live or visit the island - it is to develop a concept of living more sustainably and in harmony with nature. It is contributing to the life project of many, to provide moments of enjoyment to others, it is participating in the construction of a sustainable, zero-carbon Culatra.
The Culatra fish market is a model of sustainability
...because the fish and seafood are caught according to the rules of sustainable fishing
.... because the fish and seafood are of great quality and freshness
...because it allows the transmission of the values of the culture of the Island, in fishing, in gastronomy
...because it is a reference for other territories
Your participation will allow the implementation of this model of distribution of fish and seafood, starting with what is the fundamental piece - the electric vehicle that brings the fish and seafood to those who want to consume them - on site or in their homes.
