Culsans Bracelet Project

I'm no doctor, medical expect, politician or global accountant but I do understand that this awful virus is undoubtedly affecting everyone in the world and I'm extremely thankful right now that I live in the UK. We're lucky enough to have infrastructure and systems in place. We are wealthy enough to have the ability to bounce back.
In 3rd world countries this virus is set to hit even harder given the potential economic devastation left in its wake. Without tourism, many communities will be left with nothing.
My company Culsans Gap Travel, works closely with the Il Ngwesi community based out in Laikipia, Kenya. They have spent the last 25 years developing their community and bringing back the wildlife in the area so it can function as a big 5 safari destination. Tourism is understandably one of their main sources of income. So while we are unable to travel and bring our pounds and dollars directly to the lodges, I would like to try and help them through positive thinking, being constructive and bringing in some extra much needed cash.
I have personally invested $300 up front to create 100 beaded bracelets. All are hand made by local Maasai women of the Il Ngwesi community - One bracelet takes 3 hours to make and costs $3. I am selling these bracelets on a pre-order basis for £3.50 each (cost plus UK postage) purely to make the money back so I can place another order!
FOR UK ORDERS:
If you would like a bracelet please donate here followed by an email/message to me with your postal address. Please note the minimum accepted order on this website is £5. If you wish to make a smaller order it is very much still possible and encouraged! Just send me an email and we can go from there.
Once the bracelets have arrived in the UK (which might take some time but I can keep you all updated. I expect it to take a couple of months...) I will contact you and post them out. For other updates please keep an eye on our instagram page. Anesi should be sending some images soon of the women in work. Fingers crossed!
*These bracelets were originally designed by our 2019 gap year students who worked alongside Anesi, Head of Beading at Il Ngwesi Lodge .
FOR USA ORDERS:
Please email me first so we can calculate your delivery cost.
Huge thank you for your support!
Very best (and stay healthy!)
