Mayfield School - Cultural Capital in Torbay

Hi all,

We are Mayfield School, Chestnut Centre: a group of dedicated people who work with some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Torbay. Our passion is to give them experiences that they would not otherwise get; to help them have aspirations for the future and ambitions for their life.

Recently our school car went to the big garage in the sky, we have no funds to replace the car.

Having the school car enabled us to get the children out and about to various activities including swimming, mail boxing, adventure activities and many more.

To be able to take the children away on an adventure camp would be an amazing experience for them. In the past parents have managed to pay for these experiences and we have fundraised to top up the pot. This year we are finding it difficult to raise any money. Times are hard for everyone and without the car we will have to limit what we can do with the children.

We would love to raise enough funds to replace the car and take the children away!
