Culture of Code - Student Film
Donation protected
Culture of Code is a student film team dedicated to sharing the challenges womxn face in tech in order to educate, empower, and excite allies to make tech culture more inclusive and supportive.
We created Token, a fictive short film about a female game developer who recently graduated college, based on true stories of female engineers. Token sheds light on the daily challenges of female coders and the importance of allyship in reshaping the tech industry to be more welcoming and inclusive of everyone. We also curated two resource packs for new and experienced allies to learn more about the discrimination and exclusive culture of the tech industry and how they can take action. We're hosting our Grand Opening screening on May 1, 2020!
We're raising money to cover our production costs and next year’s budget. We've personally funded this project so far, and since we are all full-time students, that’s been quite a financial burden. We have expenses from props, costumes, marketing, website hosting, film festival submissions, and beyond. By donating to our cause, you keep us running by lifting some of that strain off our shoulders. Thank you so much for your generosity!
