Cultures Through Lenses Exhibition

I am very pleased to share my good news with you. I have received notice of acceptance for a Return Exhibition at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library from July through August 2019. This exhibit will feature my new art work “Photography in Cyanotype,” which will showcase my photography in a very special way. The work includes photographs of seven different cultures living in Silicon Valley.
I need your help for this exhibit and to continue my photography journey. KINDLY, I am asking for your financial support to enable me to return to school in the Fall as well as help with my photography expenses. It would be great if your office or you can support and sponsor my “Cultures Through Lenses” Exhibit, which showcases family portraits from when they were young in their native country.
I wish to continue to serve my community, make you proud of my work, and also complete my education at San Jose State University, and to graduate in Fall 2019. I also desire to continue documenting ethnic and civic events in our community that are always underrepresented.
Part of my art training journey is to advocate for children with disabilities and connecting people to help each other. I have fundraised and helped the children with disabilities in Vietnam and Kenya through my “Emerging in America” Exhibition held at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library from June to July 2016. I also used my photography skills to connect people in different communities through my involvement in local festivals and celebrations, school events, political events, and assorted community services projects. By telling stories through my photography, I continue to bring awareness to help vulnerable children locally as well as internationally, and at the same time connecting the dots in the various communities to build a stronger voice.
