Cumbria YFC

Jigsaw- Cumbria Children's hospice

From 6pm 18th October- 6pm 19th of October Cumbria YFC members will undertake a 24 hour dance a thon challenge to raise money that will be equally spilt between these two charities. Here is a little about both charities to explain why we have chosen them...

Jigsaw...Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice provides day to day care, support and activities to children and young people from across the county living with a life limiting illness. Their care is provided in a home from home setting and each young person’s care is personalised towards their own needs. Cumbria YFC... With over 1500 members, Cumbria YFC is one of the largest young farmer clubs in the country. Led by young people for young people, Cumbria YFC is open to members aged 10 – 28 years. Anyone can join and you don’t have to be from a farming background - all you need is a sense of adventure, a love of the countryside and a willingness to get involved.

Cumbria YFC provides young farmers with a whole host of fantastic opportunities, from making life-long friends, learning new skills, taking part in competitions and accessing training through to worldwide travel opportunities and becoming an active part of the local community. It is a crucial charity in the rural community for the young people.
