A Cure For Levi

Melissa and Louis Archuleta's 9 year old son, Levi, is suffering from a rare skin disorder that doctors have been unable to diagnose.
For the last 8 weeks, specialists have been running tests on Levi for every auto-immune disease, bacterial, viral, parasitic, venomous bites, allergies, and now skin cancers, but have not been able to successfully diagnose what has been causing him to break out in ulcers all over his body that continue to bleed and mutate, making it very difficult to treat.
With ER visits, doctor's appointments and weekly medication refills, they have spent over $2,000 and their medical bills are anticipated to grow as Levi has more testing conducted every week. They currently owe $3,500 between three hospitals and 6 doctors that were unable to help Levi.
If the specialists in Sacramento cannot diagnose the disorder this week (3/27/18), the Archuletas will have to transfer to UCSF to see specialists there who have greater resources to diagnose Levi. While Levi remains in good spirits, his body is taking a toll from the blood loss, stress, daily bleach baths and living in a suit of gauze.
Because of this, Melissa will not be able to run her successful cake store front and fulfill custom orders, as she will have to stay in San Francisco for medical appointments while Louis stays home with their 3 other children.
This fund is to help the Archuletas with medical expenses including prescriptions, co-pays, treatments not covered by their insurance, cost of travel to his medical appointments, testing, and lodging expenses while in San Francisco.
Anyone who knows or has done business with Melissa can attest to the fact that she is the first person to volunteer her time and her talent to helping others, whether its providing her custom cakes or desserts for local fundraisers, to driving around town to pick up donations for those who are in need.
Now is the time for us to give back to Melissa, Louis and her family in this extremely challenging time, and find a Cure for Levi!
