Curing Jekyll

Jekyll, my calm, gentle, happy pup, who had such a rough start in life, now has an aggressive but curable cancer. It was caught early and it's "low grade" — that's the good news but it's wrapped in bad news. A second operation has been ruled out (the first, to remove a lump that appeared suddenly, did not get all of the cancer) so the next plan of action is a course of 20 radiation treatments. The doctors have described this as "hellish" but that he should be completely cured afterward if all goes well.

And "cured" sounds great to me, so I am determined to get Jekyll through this, come hell or high water.

I'm reaching out because this is way beyond what I can accomplish on my own. With your help, Jekyll is being treated by the kind and patient group of oncologists and radiologists at the Animal Medical Center in New York City.

My heart is set on the time when the treatments are finished and Jekyll is cancer-free. And for whatever part you can play in this miracle, you will have my most profound gratitude — the enduring kind.
