Curts Courageous Cause

On Monday June 10th 2019 My brother in law Curt was at the emergency room with  abdominal pain. After having all sorts of blood tests done,  he was sent for a CAT scan of abdomen and pelvis. When the results came back it was not what anyone expected to hear. In a matter of minutes Curt & Marlas whole world was turned upside down.
The doctors had discovered that he had acute appendicitis and was going to need emergency surgery to remove it,  but the study also showed a mass on the head of his pancreas as well as lesions on the liver and they were being told that he  needed to get to Roswell as soon as possible.
The scary thing is that in November he had a CAT scan of the abdomen and pelvis and nothing showed up on that. The very next morning Curt had a laparoscopic appendectomy done. The following week on Wednesday he had an appointment at Roswell with the chief surgeon in the GI Oncology Department for a consultation. The following day he was scheduled for a liver biopsy. The following Monday he had an appointment with the oncologist at which time Curt & Marla were told that the diagnosis was stage 4 pancreatic adenocarcinoma  (Uncinate) with metastatic lesions to the liver.
Once again this news was not at all what they are expected to hear.
Curt's condition is in operable, and he  started chemotherapy treatments just a few days ago.
Curt has qualified to be in a clinical study which may add months up to a year if he responds well to it.
Everything is happening so fast and they are trying so very hard to absorb all of this.
Anyone who knows Curt knows that he has brought such love and life back into my sister's life, in the 4 short years they've been married.
Curt is one of the most caring men that I've ever been blessed to know.
He's always so willing to lend a helping hand. He's been a wonderful husband to my sister,  stepfather to my nephew, as well as brother, son in law, uncle and friend.
Curt cherishes his family, and loves deeply.  He truly is an amazing man who's loved by many.
My wish is to ease the financial strain this has already put on the family, as Curt cannot return to work and although Marla is employed, the indefinite time she will need to take off so that she can be by her husband's side each step of the way will cause additional hardship.
In closing,  I'd like to ask for as many shares as possible and lastly, but most importantly.....PRAYERS, AGGRESSIVE PRAYERS. I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES. I believe God answers prayer. Philippians 4:6 -7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ .
Matthew 18:20 tells us:
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.

Please pray for Curt and our family daily.

In Him,
