Custody Evaluation Fee

If you’re reading this it’s because I consider you a life long friend or family. I may often ask people to like a post or support a charity but this is a pretty humbling experience. I’m fighting for the well-being of my children and the next step is a custody evaluation. This alone costs $2,600. I have lived paycheck to paycheck anticipating a large check from our community property settlement that appears to be never coming. With a new school year approaching my ex husband is attempting to pull our kids out of their existing schools and move them to one’s by his new place with his girlfriend. While I sympathize with a longer drive time and multiple drop offs, it’s simply what we do as parents going through a divorce to give our kids some normalcy. I need the custody evaluation to happen so I’m awarded domiciliary parent (meaning I make the decisions for our children or at least I continue to try to coparent with him but he isn’t allowed to simply do whatever he wants) Emmett and Esther deserve all of this to be over and for us to simply focus on coparenting but I have hit a brick wall. I don’t have family I can ask and I’m trying to get a home in the near future so a loan is no good either. I need to turn in the funds for the custody agreement by 7/10. I know we all have our own battles but this is mine and you’re my army. If you can give anything I would forever appreciate it. I hope you know how hard this was for me to do. But my pride matters little when it comes to my kids.
