Custom Car Modifications to get Talli Driving!

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Talli and I was born missing both of my arms and shortened legs. I was raised with the belief that I can do anything I set my mind to and I have worked really hard to be completely independent. One thing that I really truly want to achieve is being able to drive my own car. The reason I haven’t been able to accomplish this yet is not because I don’t think I can drive, it’s because the cost of custom modifications to my own car are outrageous. This has always deterred me from going after this dream, but now I’m ready to make it happen!

 I’ve already been assessed and they say I’ll be able to drive with extensive custom modifications.  Just the modifications on their own are going to cost over $100,000. I know this number might seem a bit crazy, but for me to be able to drive independently, a custom computer has to be built and installed in my car, so I’ll be able to use all of its functions and drive safely. Plus, custom steering and pedal extensions will have to be installed as well. All of the computer work will be done in Maine, so I’m going to have to ship my car there to get this work done. These are not costs I can afford on my own and after purchasing my own car, I am now reaching out to friends, fans and family to help me make this dream possible.  It’s not easy for me to ask for money, but in this case it’s the only way I can actually become completely independent. 

 I want to be able to drive myself to my speaking engagements, take my step kids to visit my mom and to go on road trips whenever I please.  I don’t want to rely on other people to get me around anymore. With your help, I can do this!
