Cut Declan’s hair to raise money for Ava!
Donation protected
After having not cut my hair since August 2019 it’s time for it to go for a good cause.
Our friend Ava, 5 years old, and her family are currently raising money so that she can go to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and receive the bivalent vaccine. Ava has high-risk neuroblastoma and is currently undergoing treatment at Drottning Silvia's Children's Hospital in Gothenburg Sweden. Unfortunately, there is a very high relapse risk after treatment has ended, and the chance of survival then drops very drastically. The vaccine, which is currently being developed in New York, helps Ava's own body fight the cancer cells and stop them from growing. It is given after her treatment in Sweden is completed and is only available in New York and must be paid for by themselves. You can read more about Ava’s story here.
After 3 years of growing my hair it is now 70cm long. For every 100SEK raised we’ll cut 1cm off, with the ultimate goal being that we’ll raise 7,000SEK to help Ava receive her treatment.
The cut hair will also be donated to go to wigs to help others that have lost their hair.
Give whatever you can to help Ava get the treatment she needs and to help me get my hair cut!
