Cutie whose been shot
Donation protected
Hi my name is Natasha, and this is our cat Cutie. She is 4 years old and an indoor cat well loved by her family. I accidentally left the door open while dropping my kids off to school on Monday. For one hour. When I got home cutie was missing so we immediately started searching. We searched for 2 days. My golden retriever Nugget found her on Wednesday night at 9pm. Hiding in the bush.
We saw her eye looked really bad and she had something sticking out of her back. So we rushed her to the emergency vet. And what we found was heartbreaking.
Someone has used our cat as target practice in the park behind our house. The vet found 7 metal bullets from a bebe gun inside of her. The person shot her right through her eye, causing her to lose her eye. We only knew she was shot because they left one sticking out of her back. She didn't deserve this.
Yes to some she may be just a cat. But she is family to us. And certainly not a family member who deserves to be shot by some dangerous person in our back yard almost.
I have contacted the opp to file a report. They have asked me to canvass doors for video footage. They are not going to help find the person who did this. Who will maybe do this again. I'm scared to let my dogs in the backyard now. I'm scared for my animals safety in my own yard.
And we really want to save cutie and give her the best life possible still. She is so young! And so lovely. Even after being shot by a human she wanted pets and love from the vet techs. She likes to steal toys from the kids and play with them. Our other cat Paula is missing her dearly. Please help us bring cutie home.
