CV Winter Formal - REVIVED

The Conemaugh Valley High School in Johnstown was to have its Winter Formal on Saturday, January 21. The dance was to be a fundraiser for its Newspaper and Yearbook clubs. However, on Wednesday, January 11, plans changed as students reported that a student from another school district had made threats to shoot CV students at the dance. After an investigation, charges were filed against the other student. As a result, the dance is being moved to allow time from the incident to pass. The Varsity Cheerleaders are now taking the lead on the dance. We want to treat the kids to the best version of this formal and turn a potential tragedy into a great night for the kids at that school. The funds raised will be used to pay for one of the area´s best DJs and concession items to maximize revenues. Anything extra from the goal would be used to assist with additional security measures and replace some lost revenues for the school Newspaper and Yearbook. These kids deserve a safe and memorable experience.
