Our Family In Need

My name is Tommy Champion and I am a tattoo artist in Ellsworth Maine.

I am the sole provider for my family of myself, my partner Jessica and her son Holden whom I’ve loved as my own since the second they came into my life.

The apartment where we live has become too expensive to manage along with all the other bills we pay. Jessica stays home to assist Holden due to him being autistic with severe ADHD.

We were in the process of moving and last week we thought we found the perfect place still in town so I would not have to transfer jobs and Holden have to transfer schools and work with a different IEP team. The place was within our budget and the landlord seemed very nice. We paid our fees and when we got approved for the apartment we were told to pay our security deposit then and pay the first months rent upon moving in. We paid it. Then it was one bump after the other where the “landlord” asked time and time again for more money and a new excuse would arise on why we had to give him more and our guts sank. We had a feeling something was off and our guts were correct. My family was scammed of near 1,000$ and our bank cannot dispute it with us so we can get the money back. With our other bills that have piled up on top of moving fees, now losing so much money has ruined hope on us moving, affording our bills, and taking care of ourselves properly along with the precious boy we love and care for. Family is offering some help and we fear it still won’t be enough.

We're hoping to raise money so I can pay off our bills, late fees, get the money back we lost, and afford to move without fearing of after moving being completely broke to afford anything for our child.

We are good people just sadly down in a hole filled with some bad luck and hopefully in time with some help, we can turn it around.
