Helping Dr. Reid and Family

Many of you know our favorite veterinarian, Dr. Gerri Reid, has been battling cervical cancer since 2021 which has become terminal. Through everything she has kept a positive outlook and stayed strong. When she would make house calls and saw a client had a ring doorbell there was a pretty good chance they were getting a song and dance from her!

Dr. Reid continued to work while receiving chemo, radiation, clinical trials, and anything else that the medical team felt could be of benefit. She loves her family, friends, clients, and patients very much and has always kept a smile on.

This past week Gerri came home from the hospital and was placed on hospice. What started as a business relationship between us grew into a life long friendship that i never could have imagined. getting that message from her broke my heart. It breaks that she had to tell her friend this. It breaks that her children have to learn what terminal and hospice mean. It breaks that such a wonderful person has to go through this.

The last thing i want is for her and her family to stress over a financial crisis they could not have foreseen. All funds used will help to cover bills for Dr. Reid so she doesn’t have to worry about one more thing.
