Chico Women's Club Is Going Solar!
Donation protected
Chico Women’s Club, the beautiful building that serves as a hub for cultural and social events in Chico, is going solar. For the first time since construction was completed on our 86 year-old building, its attics and west wall will be insulated, along with a new, insulated and vented roof. Completing this ambitious, sustainable upgrade is an 8700 watt solar system. A club member will volunteer his expertise and labor to install the solar. PG&E donated $1000. Lowes donated $400 in materials. Several Chico Women's Club fans have donated more than $600. Help us raise $17,400 more in matching funds. Donate Now!
Chico Women's Club members created Caper Acres in the 60s and Annie's Glen in the 70s. In the 80s CWC members spearheaded the restoration of Bidwell Mansion. Chico Women's Club members, and the hundreds of community citizens who use and appreciate our building, are ensuring our historic building lasts another hundred years! Donate now.
