A “Cwtch” is a Welsh hug, but it’s also more than that, a cwtch is about feeling loved, feeling supported, knowing that you are not alone in the world. On a hard day every Welsh person knows what it’s like to need a cwtch from your mam or your granny or your partner, that is what we are focused on doing for injured and displaced Palestinians in Cairo; offering them a feeling of safety and connection.
We are a small group living in the rhymney valley who will be taking your donations to Egypt ourselves and giving the cash aid directly to Palestinians, we will receive the list of people to help from a team who has successfully done these missions in the past, you can find them by looking for @raindovemodel and safebow on instagram. We will be partnering directly with @togazawithlove2024 while in Cairo.
Ground Mission: Direct Cash Aid for displaced Palestinian Refugee's evacuated to Egypt. 100% volunteer, 100% donations hand delivered. when you donate more than £40 GBP we will write your name (and any short message you add) on a cash aid envelope that is handed to a family so they know they are not forgotten and people out there care about them. Aid will be hand delivered for medical treatment, rent, daily living, food and starting over!
Your Donations: Your donations will go directly into the hands of these families as cash. It won't ever get easier or more direct than this to provide relief and some stability for these families in need. Who are we helping? Every day more Palestinian families from Gaza are evacuating into Egypt. Most of these families have a great medical need, such as a family member having cancer or critical injuries sustained in a bombing - like those we've seen posted everywhere. Some have simply been without dentures or glasses or hearing aids for months and a small donation helps them live an easier day to day life with dignity.
Why donate? These families arrived from Gaza with literally the clothes on their backs and nothing more. Once they arrive in Egypt, they have an immediate need in housing, food, water, medicine, winter clothing, housewares such as cooking supplies, mattresses, blankets, and more there are no governmental programs in Egypt to help these people so they rely on aid such as this to survive.
