Animal Rescue

As many of you are aware I’ve been rescuing countless dogs, cats, horses, etc

for years now. I’ve endured a lot of medical expenses through the last year, and I could really use some help. For my birthday, I don’t want “things”. I would love some support in my quest to help this Earth.

I’ve rehomed close to 300 dogs in the last 2.5 years to loving homes. Countless cats, ducks, pigs, horses, etc over the years as well. Roughly 65% (or more) of my dogs are at risk of euthanasia. The adoption fees for the dogs, specifically, help but each dog is different and the medical costs are hard to keep up with. Not to mention my trabsport bill. I try to do the best I can by these dogs and their adopters. I also try to be discerning with the dogs I pull for rescue, but inevitably have gotten lots of animals who have needed medical care that I wasn’t aware of. I also cover ALL of the fees/treatment for any heart worm positive dog, and that’s adding up.

Ultimately, I cannot charge a high adoption fee (or fee at all for the expense I have into them) ethically, for any animal I know will need veterinary care for its life. I would much rather the adopter uses their financial resources for that animal’s veterinary care for its life.

I have countless people reaching out constantly for my help, and support on the home front and from the south. I cannot continue to rescue these animals doing this completely alone while taking the financial burden on alone as well.

The expense I occur isn’t just medical. It’s also the time I put into the souls in my care. It’s the toys, food for all animals, fencing, cat boxes, cat litter, the furniture like my couch the fosters destroyed while I was training/rehabbing them, cat scratching supplies, dog beds, flea and tick treatment, heart worm prevention, and fuel to bring these dogs to their new home. The horses are a completely different ball game and their person time/expenses are major. Anything these animals need they receive— I spare nothing. My goal is to set adopters and their new adopted animals up for success. It’s true, I do give more than I receive, but it’s for the greater good and it’s passed on.

I also have a new rescue horse that’s taken significant funding. This was a cruelty case that I actively tried to avoid getting involved with. I have $1K into him already and he will need new blankets for the winter (one alone is $500), a dentist appointment scheduled in August, hoof upkeep, feed, ulcer meds ….

Anyway, it’s my birthday and all I want is to continue to do my “job” in making this world a better place. Anything you can donate would be immensely appreciated.
