On Wednesday, November 10th, 2021, the world became a little bit less alive. Friends, family, loved ones, coworkers, and the musical world became a little quieter- a little stiller and certainly pained. The charismatic, beautiful, talented, genuine, brilliant, and strong Corbett Ryan Sizemore left this Earth and left a void in his place where his presence can never be forgotten or replaced.
Corbett was a loving father to Maddie and Ryan and a loyal partner in life to his beautiful Sarah. His laugh was contagious. His presence and personality were infectious. He will be remembered as one of the funniest and most genuine souls to have ever walked this Earth. He would give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger who merely complimented it and his very last ounce of energy to the people he loved and protected.
Corbett’s greatest accomplishment in life was having the role and title of being a father. He loved and cherished his children more than anything in the world. Family meant everything to Corbett, but he extended his loving heart and soul to those who weren’t his family too, always embracing them as if they were. Our wonderful neighbors, Tim & Bridgette Still, have a son who was diagnosed with cancer years ago. His name is Lawson. Corbett spent so much time with Lawson over the years, especially outside teaching him how to skateboard and master difficult tricks on the board. When Lawson lost his hair from cancer treatments, and after lots of research on where to have a wig made, Corbett cut his own hair and brought it to him and kissed his beautiful bald head, giving him strength and encouragement while Lawson was fighting for his life. Lawson is cancer free now and recently mastered a trick on his skateboard that his parents recorded and sent straight to Corbett. Corbett was SO proud of him.
This is just ONE example of millions describing how Corbett’s genuine heart touched so many. He saved many lives, not only in his profession as a paramedic, but just by being a loyal and loving friend to all. He left behind friends and family, the love of his life, two children who he adored more than life itself, and a huge pair of shoes that will be impossible to fill.
If you are able and willing, you can carry out his legacy and purpose by donating anything you can to help his family during this difficult and heartbreaking time. As arbiter of his estate, I will see that all donations go to his children and family securing their shelter, home and school needs, and any upcoming challenges they will be facing.
After all Corbett has done for us, I’m asking for your help to ensure his family’s well being. If you are unable to donate, any prayers, love, and encouraging words will be so greatly appreciated! Thank you all for loving my brother, Corbett, and may he Rest In Peace.
“Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.”✨
Corbett, we will love and miss you forever!❤️
