Kevin and his family following Widnall Pool Incident
Donation protected
On behalf of Jennie Peloquin and her family, I am asking for the community’s support in easing the financial stress of the devastating incident that took place at Widnall Pool in Thunder Bay yesterday evening.
Yesterday, lifeguards responded to a medical emergency at Widnall Pool. Jennie Peloquin’s 13-year-old son Kevin was transported by EMS to the hospital for lifesaving treatment after being pushed into the water by other youth. Police are currently investigating the incident but despite the details, this is undoubtably the result of bullying. Kevin is now fighting for his life due to this senseless act.
Kevin is being transferred from Thunder Bay to London, ON for specialized care along with his mom, Jennie. To ease the hardship of this unanticipated family emergency, I am asking for the community’s support to offset travel costs and expenses that occur receiving medical treatment away from home. Even the smallest donation will help and if you can’t contribute financially, please consider sharing the GoFundMe link on your platforms.
100% of the donations will go to the family.
Campaign Update:
Thank you for the outpouring of love and support you have shared with Kevin and his family. The initial campaign goal was $10, 000 and in less than 72 hours, we have surpassed this times 3!
Jennie is in London, ON with Kevin— the length of their stay and his rehabilitation needs are undetermined so I am going to increase the goal to $35, 000. This money will allow Jennie to place her full attention on her son and other children during this incredibly trying time.
