Volunteering in South Africa

Hi my name is Esme and I am 18 years old. During my gap year in 2024, I will be volunteering in South Africa for 7 weeks with the charity ‘United Through Sport’ to transform lives through the power of sport and make a positive difference in the lives of the less fortunate children living in South Africa. My trip will mainly consist of netball coaching to some of the school children which will allow them to learn and try new activities and discover new skills. However, I will also be given the opportunity to get involved in other aspects of the trip such as care work, teaching and educating the children in local schools, which will help them receive a better education and ensure they are given the opportunities they each deserve to benefit their future. I am also then travelling to Mozambique to stay with a friend and help out in a local school, this will be for 3 weeks. In order to attend this trip of a lifetime I will require the financial support from anyone willing to help me fund this trip. Therefore I am extremely grateful for any donations, big or small, to help sponsor me so I am able to fulfil my dream and this trip of a lifetime.
