Hi Everyone!
On the 2nd of December 2020, I’ll be cycling the Munga, a single stage 1000km mountain bike race across the South African Karoo desert in the heat of summer.
If you’d like to join me in this ultra-endurance journey, you’ll be able to track my progress through a link I’ll soon post @cycle4children.
My wish it to use this endeavor to raise awareness about the benefits a bicycle can bring in improving the lives of the most vulnerable children in Namibia, where my family and I have been living for the past two years.
Namibia is an absolutely stunning country, extremely sparsely populated with some communities living far from a health facility. This impedes life-saving health services to be delivered to children in need.
But thanks to a bicycle, Community Health Workers -who usually have to walk for hours- can reach more children faster.
And this is where I’d like to call for your help! Your help to support an NGO called the Bicycle Empowerment Network, which provides bicycles for Community Health Workers.
Your donation will contribute in improving the lives of some of the most vulnerable children in Namibia… a cause for me worth pedaling beyond my personal limits of physical and mental endurance.
Thank you so much in advance! Stay safe… and sane !
