Cycle For Christy 2024

The Christy Lambe Foundation
Living with Love, Not Fear.

Cycle for Christy- Birmingham to Clonaslee.

Our team are showing their commitment by taking on this gruelling cycling challenge. Next month, 26 cyclists will aim to achieve something incredible by tackling a four-day journey covering approximately 311 miles from Sutton Park in Birmingham to Clonaslee, Ireland. Thank you for showing them your support!

Story

Our understanding of mental health and well-being challenges goes beyond industry statistics. We know the devastation these challenges can bring to families and communities and the heartbreak of losing someone you love too soon. We lost Christy in 2022. He was kind, full of love, and well-known for supporting others—even when he was struggling himself. Our mission is to champion well-being and community in all we do.

We aim to support these 26 riders and raise £50,000 for our chosen charity partners. Your sponsorship and support will make a significant difference. This ride is both a physical challenge and a heartfelt tribute. It culminates on the second anniversary of Christy Lambe’s passing, honouring his legacy in the village where he is laid to rest.

Why This Event Matters

All the money raised through our fundraisers will go directly towards supporting mental health and homelessness initiatives through the Christy Lambe Foundation.

Our partnerships mirror Christy’s philosophy of living with love, not fear.

1. Lighthouse Club Partnership: We've joined forces with the Lighthouse Club to tackle suicide and promote wellbeing in the construction industry.

2. Standing Tall: We create jobs and training for people who've experienced homelessness, helping to rebuild lives, confidence and dignity.

3. Tabor Living: We partner with Tabor Living, supporting their mission to wipe out homelessness in Birmingham.

Our Impact

● 10 Standing Tall hires who have experienced homelessness

● 33,120+ paid hours for employees hired through Standing Tall

● £451k donated to mental health and homelessness action

● Goal: Raise £200,000 in 2024 for mental health and homelessness initiatives

“Lambe’s are doing great work in support of Mental Health and Wellbeing in construction - and they’re huge supporters of the vital services we provide. Their staff are true culture carriers, implementing positive change into Lambe’s and the broader industry through Health and Safety, education, and well-being. The Christy Lambe Foundation and Christy’s story will help so many. Thank you on behalf of the Lighthouse, and I look forward to continuing our work together.” – Tom McConkey, Head of Partnerships, Lighthouse Club
