Cycling and hiking for MND
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Motor Neurone Disease Association, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
For a while now I have wanted to do something to help raise awareness for Motor Neurone Disease Assocition. I am a rugby fan and when Rob burrow was diagnosed with this terrible disease, it went straight to my heart. Now one of my friends has recently been diagnosed with MND! He is a keen cyclist and we have occasionally cycled together. With my love of biking and climbing mountains, I have recently been training hard to complete a personal challenge to cycle from Lands End to John O'groats .
On reflection, I thought that sounded boring, so I have decided to climb the Three Peaks on the way!
On Tuesday 22nd April 2025, I intend to begin my challenge from Lands End and cycle between 90 and 100 miles per day. I hope to complete my challenge and arrive in John O'groats within 14 days.
Supporting me alond the way will be my amazing partner, Gwen. No, she will not be cycling or climbing but providing me with, apart from a few B&B's, my accommodation, food, drink, and cream for the sensitive parts!!
I shall be covering my journey via instagram paulwhiteheadMND posting updates as I go.
Please donate what you can or give me a wave and a cheer if I pass by you on my way.
Thanks
Paul
