Cycling from London to Brighton 2023
Hey all!
On the 10th of September, I am cycling from London to Brighton in aid of Mind alongside thousands of other riders fundraising for their causes.
Mind is an incredible charity based in England and Wales. They’re dedicated to offering support and information with their ultimate goal being to help anyone going through mental health problems and making sure that they get the support and care they need.
NHS statistics estimate that 1 in 4 adults go through a mental health problem at one point in their life. Sadly, public services dealing with mental health are under increasing pressure, with recent announcements like the Metropolitan Police's decision to entirely stop attending emergency mental health calls, with the exception of threat to life situations. This makes the work of organizations like Mind and the Samaritans even more crucial to prevent a potential mental health emergency in the population.
Mind is a charity that matters a lot to me. They’ve guided me through bouts of isolation and loneliness during the pandemic years and helped me take charge of my physical health with a motivation that I didn’t think I had in me. They’ve made a significant difference to my life in recent years and I’d love nothing more than to help them continue their work.
If you can chip in with even the smallest amount, it would mean the absolute world. Even just sharing it with your friends and family would be greatly appreciated. I will be matching all donations up to a combined total of £1000, so please help me make an impact! The money will be going directly to the charity to support their work.
