Cycling Without Age - Tempe Chapter
Cycling Without Age Tempe Chapter allows the bicycle to play that role in people’s lives regardless of age or ability.
Cycling Without Age (CWA) is a nonprofit - that started in Copenhagen - to give bicycle rides to elderly individuals to build bridges between generations to reinforce trust, respect and the social glue in communities.
For donors $25 and up, fill out this form with your address and t-shirt size and we'll get your t-shirt to you! You can also share your interest in volunteering as a pilot (bike driver).
We are raising funds to purchase a trishaw bicycle with an electric-assist motor that provides safety and strong support for the passengers. The Trishaw costs $10, 749. We have already raised $5,000 from Microsoft through the ChangeX Challenge . We have a donor willing to MATCH dollar-for-dollar funds raised by the community.
If we can raise $2,874 as a community, then we can bring the joy of cycling to our elderly and differently-abled neighbors throughout the City of Tempe and offer volunteer slots as pilots (or bike drivers!). Let's reach this goal!!!
Donors $25 and above will receive a t-shirt with original art created and donated by local artist, Eric Iwersen (twitter- @wayeric).
