Cynthia Marquez Medical Recovery

Hi, my name is Victor Marquez and I created this Go Fund me account for my beautiful bouncing Freckles. She had a terrible unfortunate event that was my worst nightmare. I had received a call from paramedics that they found my wife unresponsive in a pool. The life changing event was on 2/3/24 at 10:30pm and took the paramedics 16 minutes to revive Cynthia. The doctors at the time gave her 80% chance to not survive this horrific event. I just remember that night heading over to the scene. I was a complete mess crying and praying to God do not take my wife and balling please Lord, No! Jesus answered my prayers heading there that night along with the assistance of the paramedics to bring her back to life. Well now it has been about four months now and she has made big strides on her rehabilitation.

God has answered our prayers and its just a matter of time for Cynthia to completely heal. The process is going to be a slow process. The doctors have diagnosed her brain injuries with the Myoclonus shakes. This mean that she has a hard time controlling her muscles which creates shakes in her mouth arms and legs. Due to the Myoclonus tremors it is hard for her to control her mouth to speak and to swallow. So this has been a slow process of healing. She has made huge strides now that she has been having speech therapy, physical therapy and ocupational therapy, and is able to swallow small amounts of soft foods but is not able to drink water and juices yet.

She has been able to get up and stand on her own and this month 6/05/24 she was able to walk on the rehabilitation bars back a forth twice so far. I want to thank all the donors that have donated to Cynthia's medical goal of rehabilitation process. The funds have helped out during this time that I was able to be with her instead of working for these past four months. I had to go back to work now because the bills have been pilling up and I need more money to help her through this process. I'm asking please help this beautiful woman who has a huge heart, and donate to my Go fund me page and assist us through this life changing event. The transits for her to attend family events and or doctors visits are not covered by her medical insurance and are paid directly. I would greatly appreciate your donations during this time of need. I know in the past we were asking for donations to relocate to Sacramento County but those plans have changed due to the current long term care facility here in San Diego has been a blessing and the staff is amazing here. I didn't want to take the chance of going to a different facility and her go back wards instead of forwards. So we decided to stay since she has been making strides here.
