Cynthia Martinez and Alfredo Blandon

Hello everyone,

We created this GoFundMe page to help Cynthia and her family during this difficult time. Cynthia has suffered internal bleeding, a brain hemorrhage and consequently a stroke that left her with right side partially paralyzed, loss of speech and difficulty swallowing among many other physical challenges she has to face.

Every day she has been fighting to be with us. She has her good days when she is more alert and moving a little, she has days where she is not as responsive and active. If you know Cynthia, she is a fighter! In her eyes we can see her radiant spirit, and her desire to recover far beyond anyone expectations, like she did previously. With the support of her friends and family she is fighting to get back to her normal routines. It isn’t something that will happen in 3 months it might take 6 or more, but she is fighting and that’s all we can ask for her.

It has been a tough time for husband Alfredo, since he has been by her side in ICU, since she was admitted on September 23, 2023. Her husband is with her from dusk till dawn, he doesn’t leave her side at all. With him being by her side daily, he is unable to work. Their son Eric is a full-time student and only works the weekends. Any spare chance he has he is at the hospital with his father and by his mother's side giving her the encouragement to have faith and keep fighting and they will be by her side waiting for her.

Cynthia does have some medical coverage, so all funds that you provide will be used toward physical, occupational therapy, speech therapy and everyday bills (rent, car, gas, car insurance etc..).
