Cynthia Medical Bills

NOTE: March 10 UPDATE and PICTURES below.

My sister, Cynthia, is single and makes a living as a massage therapist. A week ago, she was skiing and had a nasty fall, resulting in a displaced fracture of the radius, and a simple fracture of the ulna in her left arm. She also has a simple fracture of the tibia plateau in the left knee, and unknown soft-tissue damage to that knee. 

She spent three days in the hospital to include surgery to realign her radius and secure it with a plate and she is home now with a walker until the knee heals. There will be an MRI in a few weeks after the swelling in her knee subsides. 

While she has insurance, the total deductible so far is approaching $3000 and as one would surmise by now, it's impossible to conduct a massage with a broken arm and messed up knee. So she's also out of work for the foreseeable future.
