On August 21, I had a heart attack. I was hospitalized and had two stents put into my arteries. Having started a new job in July, I was 10 days away from having health insurance. In addition to the expected hospital bills, I am now facing lost wages, doctors’ fees, an ambulance bill, prescription costs, and of course, everyday expenses.
