Cyprus Dog Rescue in memory of Bear

I will be walking 100 Miles in October to help raise money for a fantastic charity in Cyprus. I have visited the island numerous times and witnessed the horrendous animal cruelty and neglect of Dogs and Cats to a point I am reluctant to return. On our most recent holiday we fed stray cats daily and purchased meds to treat kittens with infected eyes to prevent blindness (a blind street cat has no chance of survival). The Government refuse to do anything to stop this ongoing horror that surrounds them & it is left to volunteers and charities on the Island who dedicate their lives and finances to help these poor animals.

I am raising money to support a lady named Andrea who has run the charity, Cyprus Dog Rescue since 2010. Andrea recently rescued a dog from a local Pound who was literally dying on the concrete floor in front of her.

She rushed him to the Vets for emergency treatment them took him home to rest, with her other 20+ dogs that she has rescued that are too broken to be rehomed.

She named this dog Bear ..he was the worst case of neglect and abuse she had ever seen. Bear was given the best food, meds, comfort and most of all love, something he had never had before. Sadly after 10 happy days spent with Andrea, Bears broken body couldn't fight anymore

Andrea and her supporters are looking to build a legacy in Bears name to enable them to rescue more dogs and extend the Sanctuary so that rescued dogs that can't be rehomed can live out their days in happiness.❤️. She is also fighting for justice for Bear but as this is Cyprus justice is very unlikely.
