The sky’s the limit.

Hi all, myself and a group of friends are taking on the challenge of climbing the three of the highest peaks in England Sca fell , Helvelyn and Skiddaw all over 3000ft in 12 hours on Sat 25th June to raise funds for ASD/SEN at Oakfield Schools. The money raised will be used towards teacher training, sensory equipment etc.

So this is why……

In January 2021 our son Jacob was diagnosed with ASD. I’m not going to lie it’s been a tough journey for us all as a family. Throughout the year we held several meetings with different people/authorities whom I must say have all been amazing helping us to understand ASD and pointing us in the right direction. However there is always something I feel pops up regularly “it’s down to funding” “there’s not enough funding”.

Jacob receives 20hr additional help at school which is amazing but out of that 20hrs Oakfield have to fund the first 10hrs roughly £13,000.
