Lael & Gloria Treadway: Home Repair Fund

Lael Treadway suffered a stroke on the morning of June 20th. He needed immediate surgery to remove a blood clot from the brain. His recovery has been slow and not as positive as we had hoped. He is currently in the St. Cloud hospital and will be transferred on Tuesday to Bethesda in St. Paul, a long-term, acute care facility that has a stroke unit that can handle rehab therapy for stroke patients who remain on breathing devices and feeding tubes. Dads condition is rare, and the expectation from the doctors for full recovery is very low. Thankfully our God is not bound by human expectations, and we are praying for a miraculous healing.
 
Dad has always been a man of many projects around the house and farm in Holdingford. Currently the house has multiple unfinished projects and is in a state that would make it extremely difficult for mom to put on the market for sale. Should dad return home and be wheel-chair bound the house is not compatible for wheel chair accessibility, and even should dad make a full recovery it will likely be a long time coming and the likelihood of dad ever being able to complete the unfinished projects on the house is highly unlikely. Having the option to sell the farm would allow mom to have the freedom to move where she needs to in order to provide the best care for dad.
 
We are seeking $30,000.00 to go toward remodel costs to my parents house to bring the home to a level where selling would be an option for my mom. The donations would go toward a professional, coordinated effort to bring in a remodel crew to complete the work quickly and efficiently and would cover new flooring, drywall repairs, new plumbing fixtures, new countertops, and interior paint. Once the money needed has been raised we will put together the team to complete the renovation.
