A little information about aplastic anemia:
Aplastic anemia happens when a person's body doesn't produce sufficient blood cells (white, red, and platelets) made inside the bone marrow. Red blood cells carry oxygen throughout your entire body and to the lungs. White blood cells are responsible for locating and fighting off invading germs like bacteria that could cause infections in your body. Platelets are responsible for stopping a body from bleeding. Without developing new blood cells, the individual can become anemic and be prone to infections, bruising's and bleeding.
Autumn is my beautiful nine-year-old daughter, and she was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia in August. She was admitted to Valley Children's Hospital many times and required blood and platelets transfusion weekly, along with taking daily medications to help her build platelet cells. She is being referred to Stanford Hospital for a bone marrow transplant. Her little brother is being tested to see if he matches her; if not, we will need to ask the public for help.
She has a bright future ahead of her. She has many goals for the future, and one is to become a graphic designer. She has a caring, loving heart with a gentle soul who loves and respects everyone equally. She misses school, but unfortunately, her condition is in a critical state where she cannot be around anyone.
I am doing this to create awareness of this disease and raise money to prepare for upcoming travel, living and unpredicted expenses. Any donation is greatly appreciated. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
