Tucker's medical bills

Donation protected
We adopted Tucker after Pam Ingalls shared  his courtesy post  on the Wine Country Animal Lover's website with me.  I was resisting getting a dog because I was still recovering from the loss of our beloved Bischon, Napoleon, We lost him in February of 2014 while I was going through chemo for breast cancer.
With Tucker was love at first site, he reminded me so much of my brother =-in-laws dog, Jojo. We called a couple weeks later and Tucker was still available.  John and I drove to Santa Rosa after Christmas 2014, to pick Tucker up. He had been rescued after being found running on the streets of Davis, California, by a police officer.
He is a sweet, fun loving dog, with a bad habit of bolting out the front door to run, whenever possible. We take him to the dog park every other day, so he can run with the big dogs, which he loves to do!  We do long walks on each day, in between the dog park. We have worked on recall, but he thinks it's a game when he gets out.
This past Friday night, a loved one, came over and let himself into the house. While entering and talking to my husband, Tucker bolted out, between his legs. He ran across rush hour traffic, between our two cul-de-sacs with both guys in pursuit. He was hit and his pelvis is fractured in 5 places, (they told me t3 at first) and he has a broken femur(leg. )
His medical care thus far is over $1,500.00. He will have to have three surgeries on Monday, which will cost a minimum of $4,000-$6,000, plus the two or three days medical care after that are $500.00 per day. We are still paying off over $7,000. in medical bills from Napoleons drawn out battle with Cushings disease and diabetes. This is a huge financial hardship. We have to pay it in full and don't have enought scredit on our card to cover it.
The vet says Tucker has a good prognosis, since he is otherwise a young, healthy dog. He may have a giddy-up in his step, but other than that a full recovery.
My friends encouraged me to set up this go fund site for his medical bills. Thanks so much for your consideration and help.
