EDDIE COCHRAN DOCUMENTARY

Dear Eddie Fans,
It's been a long while since our last update on the status of The Eddie Cochran Rocker documentary. I can tell you right now that we are in the final stages of editing the film, which, so far, is shaping up to be around 90 minutes long.
This project has been a monumental undertaking, and every effort Is being made to complete the film with as much professional polish as we can muster. Much of the delay in its completion can be attributed to a slew of unforeseen circumstances--one of the big reasons, of course, has been something we all didn't see coming--The pandemic. That alone caused the extreme rescheduling of some of the many folks we interviewed. Many of those interviewees include Eddie's family members, close friends,
and fellow musicians who played with him in his heyday.
There are also some surprise celebrity moments, including great commentary from Eddie's hit-making contemporaries like Charlie Gracie, the late, great George Harrison, and other famous names Eddie either influenced, inspired, or shared the stage with. We don't want to give too much away, because that will be a good part of the film's enjoyment.
Sadly, several of the fine people we exclusively interviewed have already passed away, making their contributions very treasured in this documentary. Their accounts of personal times with Eddie are the only ones captured on film, and we have been blessed with their participation. We strongly feel this will be the definitive documentary on Eddie Cochran, made with the heart and soul that true fans have brought to this undertaking.
Thanks to the donations and support from fans worldwide, our journey has made leaps and bounds. Upon completion, the next stage will be presenting the film to various investors. Their (much more expensive) funding will go towards paying for the rights to use Eddie's songs and likeness in movies and photographs, which we used in vast abundance. And even though the production end of the film may be close at hand, only when a buyer picks up the royalty tabs can date of release be announced.
We are striving to conclude this entire journey as soon as possible, so the world can see that Eddie's legacy gets the attention it always deserves.
Many Thanks,
Ruben Gerard
EXTRA! EXTRA! Eddie with Charlie Gracie! We are proud to announce that the legendary Rock N' Roller will be sharing his memories about Mr. Cochran in the new documentary!

YOU DID IT!
$10,000 And Then Some!
It is with great joy that we can now say that this fundraiser has not only reached it's goal, but surpassed it!
Congratulations and vast appreciation goes out to our wonderful donors, who have shown us what true Eddie fans they are!
From the fans that are assembling this documentary, we can't thank you enough! And from these fans, an update is in order:
Much has transpired since this over-due project began, and there is still much to do. We are expanding our scope even further to include more interviews --like the upcoming ones with Charlie Gracie, Vince Eager, and several others.
These extra interviews will enhance this story that needed to be told. Putting Eddie's musical legacy in the proper perspective is one of the main objectives, and using all available resources is the way to get the job done right.
Now, getting the job done right also means dealing with unforeseen setbacks, and who could have seen the worldwide pandemic coming? To say the least, this catastrophic event, as well as other less turbulent matters, have created delays in the production.
Rest assured donors, we are moving forward and working to pick the pace back up ASAP.
Please stay tuned for further updates!
Kind Regards,
Ruben Gerard
OLDER POST:
This new film, originally started in conjunction with the Eddie Cochran 80th Birthday Celebration held at the Bell Gardens American Legion Hall last year, has expanded it's scope to provide a more thorough documentary.
Our campaign goal has been increased predominately for the purpose of licensing the use of copy written material such as songs and images associated with Eddie.
More than any previous documentary, this comprehensive labor of love features members of Eddie's family, friends, and fellow musicians like Johnnie Berry Raines, Bobby Cochran, Robin Cochran Kennedy, Bob Denton, Ron Wilson, Connie" Guybo" and Marilyn Smith, and Terry Cole. Also featuring Rock N' Roll Historian, Alan Clark and many more aficionados.
For your kind contribution, your name will be listed in the end title credits with our utmost appreciation in helping us to record history in the making.
See the info on how you can help, and be part of an over-due documentary!
