Campus Cats (TNR Feral's at YSU)
Donation protected
At Youngstown State University, there has been an abundance of feral cats stalking the campus for years. I decided that someone needed to start taking care of these cats. We are taking donations to help trap, spay/nueter/vaccinate, and release these kitties. Currently, my friend and I have been funding their medical care, but we cannot afford to help as many cats this way. For example, there is a cat with a respiratory infection that we would like to see treated but we can only do that with the help of donations. We are college students trying to make a difference for the cats living at YSU, but we can't do it without help!
Pictured below are some of the kitties we have helped.
Folk: (at only a year old, she had already given birth to at least one litter of kittens over her short lifespan. She is now spayed.)
Watts: This adorable boy is often an enjoyable sight for students who live at the Courtyards. He is a happy, healthy Feral that won't be fathering anymore kittens (he is neutered now)!
Bart: This boy is a HUGE kitty! Despite feeling very well fed, this boy led me to reach out for donations. He has a nasty respiratory infection and a film over his eye. I would like to treat any infections or problems he has so we can release him as a healthy animal! (Update: he was given a shot to help his immune system)
Mama (uncaught): Here is one of the mother cats that we are still trying to catch. She is part of the reason I launched this program because she has had multiple litters of kittens.
Extra Photos:
Picking up Watts after being Neutered.
Folk waiting patently for more food. She turned into a holy terror after being fed.
Folk loves food so much she got caught in one of our traps AGAIN. She was not happy about it.
So far, we have caught 3 cats in the first two weeks we have put out traps (and we only set them out 4 days a week). We have caught more cats than we can fund ourselves, and there are many more out there (including kittens!!!). Any donations would mean the world to these kitties.
