Help FHHR Purchase a Forever Home

Due to current circumstances, FHHR will need to find/purchase a property in possibly just 2 short months. We need your help to secure enough funds for moving expenses, closing costs for the possible purchase of a property, higher monthly rental fees, etc.

Freedom Hill Horse Rescue has been rescuing horses across southern Maryland for 18 years. Purchasing our own property would secure a home and the future of the rescue and the rescued horses at FHHR and that is an essential goal for the rescue.

As the only rescue in Southern Maryland that takes in owner surrenders, FHHR provides a place for people to volunteer and orchestrates outreach programs to the community to increase awareness of abuse and neglect of horses through informational clinics. With over 100 volunteers, the rescue horses receive daily care while developing close bonds with their favorite humans. FHHR also provides resources and programs for youth groups within southern Maryland and the general MD/VA/DC area! Some groups we have worked with include: Girl Scouts of the Nation's Capital, Boy Scouts of America, Elementary through High School students, Honor Society members, Key Club members, and 4H clubs. FHHR provides Equine Assisted Learning programs for the public and groups such as the Wounded Warrior Project and Center for Life Enrichment.
