No Harm In Asking For Help, I Dream Of Becoming A Pilot.

Hello World,
My name is Mike and I'm nearing 40 and looking to make major changes in my life. I have decided to go back to University to pursue a dream the 8-year-old me had, after a flight from New Zealand to Australia where I got to visit the cockpit of a 747 and twist some knobs which changed the aircraft's heading. I could feel the whole aircraft shift and move as it adjusted course and from that moment on I was hooked. I wanted to become a pilot.
Life had other ideas for me however and schooling at the time wasn't for me so this dream fell to the wayside and was forgotten about until COVID when I finally had some time to myself and remembered that inner child and his dream to become a pilot. So now I find myself at the University of South Australia pursuing this dream and studying to become a pilot.
Now for the reason I find myself here on GoFundMe asking for help in a sense of shame if I'm completely honest. I've found myself with some rather large unexpected and expected expenses I would love some assistance in paying, most of the schooling is of course being paid by the government now and me later, however I need to purchase items that are costly and out of my pocket and to top it all off, on the first day of the semester back in February of this year I decided to service my motorcycle and put the oil filter back in the wrong way which has starved the engine of oil and will also be emptying my wallet.
Here is a breakdown of the expenses ahead of me and I'm sure the uni will throw a few more surprises my way, like they did on day one of orientation stating "start saving money now you're going to need it"
This is where I find myself at the moment:
Motorcycle is still with the mechanic six months later with no real end date due to parts delays and funding, this has been quoted at $2500-$4500 to fix.
Obtaining a class one medical for flight school, these costs are still unknown to me but anywhere from $500-$1000
Devices for the training, headsets for flight and electronic devices for learning and programs in class, this is anywhere from $2000-$5000.
I find myself terrified of the day-to-day cost of living as well but this is manageable kinda....
So here's me reaching out to the world to ask for help and if I can reach out to 5-10,000 people and get a single dollar from them my life would be changed for the better.
