Sgt Rob Richards Memorial Fund
Donation protected
On August 13, 2014, America lost one of our nation's finest warriors. Sgt Rob Richards, a retired Marine Corps Scout Sniper, a dedicated and loving husband, a mother's hero, a selfless leader, and a faithful friend, left this world to begin his journey in the next. During his time here, Rob touched countless lives and inspired patriotism among many. After serving six and a half years in the Marine Corps, Rob was medically retired due to injuries sustained during his mulitple tours in Afghanistan. A Purple Heart recipient, Rob displayed his bravery and tactical prowess time and time again. While the media attempts to immortalize him as one of the Marines known for urinating on Taliban corpses, his family, friends, loved ones, and patriots across America immortalize him for the skilled warrior and genuine honorable man he was.
After being wounded during his second tour in Afghanistan where Rob survived an emergency tracheotomy following strapnel hitting his throat, and nearly losing a leg, there were many people and organizations who helped the Richards', enabling him to again deploy to combat in hot pursuit of the enemy.
The wake of his death has left many astounded, searching for reason as well as ways to help. While we may never know the reasons behind this great loss, or how to ease the pain that is left for those who remain, we can keep alive the legacy Rob left behind and give back to those who gave to him. At the request of his loving wife, Raechel, a memorial fund is being set up to contribute to causes that were dear to Rob.
This GoFundMe site has been designed to aid in the tumultuous time his passing brings and to give back to those organizations that give so greatly to our warriors.
