Community Leader In Need of Your Support

A woman who gives her all to her community ........ I Call Her Iya Dammons, Founder &Executive Director of Baltimore Safe Haven. During the last couple of months, Iya and a group of her peers worked tirelessly to get the Transgender Health Equality Act passed into legislation, on April 8th, 2023 merely days after the passing of this act Iya started the final leg of her journey of her Gender Affirming Care. On April 27th Iya completed that journey, much to her happiness unfortunately the surgery that was performed has amassed certain complications that will cause Iya to be on an extended exstensive medical leave of abscense. Iya is a very proud woman and doesnt ask for help so i do this on her behalf.

I have never met a stronger or more driven woman when it comes down to looking after her community so i ask that we pour into her life as she pours into the lives of the community that she already does so much for. Let us in community gather around her and uplift and affirm her as she has done for many of us
