Eagle Scout Service Project to support Grow it Green

Hello,

My name is Michael, and I am working on my Eagle Scout Service Project and working towards earning Eagle rank with my Troop. I plan on building a 10'x20' Freestanding Awning for the Urban Farm in Morristown, NJ to benefit a non-profit organization, Grow it Green.

The awning will be used to cover and protect the produce collection bins and could be used for other farm activities.

The Urban Farm is a one-acre self-sufficient, learning and giving farm, that grows fresh organic produce using sustainable practices. The majority of the produce grown at the Urban Farm is donated to local community partners and directly to families in need. They also work with my school district to educate students about healthy eating and stewardship. I have volunteered at the farm for the last few summers because I value and support what they do for others.

The funding raised will purchase the supplies for the awning. Any excess proceeds will be donated to the organization to help Grow It Green continue their community efforts.
