Light Up Denshaw 2024

Please help us to raise money for Light Up Denshaw 2024. For several years now our small committee has raised money to Light up Denshaw and our 2024 Switch on will be Sunday 1st December. The cost of this event have to be funded by ourselves and over the years we've been supported by residents, local businesses and councillors.

Saddleworth Parish Council have agreed to pay for tree this year. Any money we raise will go towards new lights, maintenance, selection boxes and other general expenses.

After the success of last year, we will once again run the 'kid's sponsor a bulb' competition with a chance for a child to press the button and switch the lights on. Forms can be collected from Paula on 5 Range Lane or at the Village Hall or in church or at school.

We will also be awarding prizes for Denshaw’s Best Lit Houses so please join in and get your own lights up by 1st December.

You will soon see our elves putting the lights up around the village and if you are able to help with anything please let us know. We will need help at the switch on too.

The switch on is 1st December from 5pm. Huddersfield Road will be closed for 2 hours and the lights will be switched on at 6pm.

Father Christmas will be coming with selection boxes for the children, the Oddies will be the centre of the entertainment with Scott the DJ and Delph Band, and we will be serving mulled wine and mince pies for those wanting a sweet treat. Please come and join us for a fab night.
