Help Us Save Our Home

Hi, my name is Lori and I'm setting up this fundraiser to help save my daughters and my home. On November 28th, 2022, after some time of looking for a home and praying I'd have one by Christmas, I found one I could afford. Upon doing the walkthrough with the mobile home park management, I explained I recently went through a divorce and was trying to rebuild with my children, however, they took advantage of my honesty and knowing I was vulnerable mislead me into buying this home as they explained the mobile home had no issues and it would be a perfect place for my little family. I paid $17,000. Within the first week of living here, my plumbing continuously kept backing up, my daughter was unpacking her room and had tripped over something and caught herself on the wall but when she did that the wall was so soggy her thumb went through it and from the hole came a horrible odor. I had let park management know about it, they came down to my newly bought home, talked quickly about giving me 2 free months off lot rent, and rushed me into signing an "as is" contract. I had an environmental specialist come confirm it, in fact, was mold and asked me what year was on my title, which I never received from the original purchase. After requesting it from Park management, it had taken almost 2 months to finally get the title but it was the wrong make and model. The mobile home park gave me a title to a 1976 Regent but I live in a 1997 Mansion fiesta, according to the Lucas County Auditors Office. Shortly after that, the center of my living room floor completely caved. Another issue. Now the bathroom floor is beginning to cave. I had spent many hours trying to get any kind of help or direction via legal council, I just couldn't afford it and eventually, I reached out to Channel 11 News station this past July and they ran my story. The park management had claimed they repossessed the trailer from the previous tenants and sold it to me with no title, then gave me an incorrect title and said they'd correct the the mistake. Since then, nothing's changed. As we roll into this year's holiday season, I am still struggling as a single mother, my rent is 20 days late and last night I found a 3-day eviction notice taped to my door. I was mislead into buying this home and they know I cannot afford to to keep up with the repairs and are taking the very first opportunity to evict me. I am asking the public to please help me raise money to afford an attorney as well as make repairs. Last Christmas, I prayed for a home for my children. This Christmas, I'm praying my children get to keep their home.
I am currently in contact with the reporter keeping her updated and below is a link for the Channel 11 News story from July. My daughters and I sincerely thank you all, in advance. https://www.wtol.com/video/news/investigations/11-investigates/toledo-woman-struggles-with-mistakes-on-real-estate-title/512-b5516f1a-45ba-4c23-a7c6-5fb3895116b1
