open heart surgery

Hi, my name is Joyce Rowe. I was diagnosed with asthma; after visiting numerous doctors and multiple tests, I discovered I had heart disease. I was admitted to the Mandeville Regional Hospital, where I was told the valves in my heart were damaged; I was referred to a Cardiologist who recommended open heart surgery.
